Missing my yellow cakes

Today I was doing my usual reading of the articles on Yahoo. I came across an article about the best Yellow Cake mixes.

All I know is it really made me miss baking. I started thinking about all the things I am going to bake when I get home, and cake is definitely one of them. Here is 2  pictures of the last yellow cake I made :)

Little things

I was missing home more then usual so I decided it was time to decorate my dorm room. I figured I would buy some posters or something when I moved in but I never found ones I liked enough to buy. Instead I looked through my computer and found some pictures I had saved from the internet, ones I had taken myself, and pictures of family and friends.

wall of inspiration

I just printed out quotes and pictures and created some wall art. My wall now makes me feel a little more at home while looking towards the future.

Sugar creeping into my mind

Living in a dorm is a little tricky. I do not have access to a real kitchen, so one of the main things I am missing from home is being able to cook. I have been keeping track of recipes to try when I get home for break. I have been eating healthy the last few weeks and cutting out desserts, so my sugar tooth is raging for some chocolate at the moment. Here are a few Sweets that caught my eye the last few days!
